/ Cuban guests visited CHTZ looking for machinery to work in energy sphere
The united delegation of 5 people was headed by Project chief manager from Cuban side Eder Guzman Pacheco.
During their meeting with CHTZ General Director Vyacheslav Yuamtov, guests noted that Maximo Gomes and East Havana power plant projects are subject of an agreement between the two countries and financed through Russian directed loan to Cuba. The project is going to be the largest cooperation scenario between Moscow and Havana and it will open a new page in the development of Cuban energy system.
Equipment produced in Russia will be used to construct the power plants. Construction itself starts in 2019 but all equipment must be delivered to Cuba earlier - in 2017. This is why Cuban specialists were particularly interested in CHTZ bulldozers, including powerful diesel-electric bulldozers and wheel loaders.
- "Energoinmport" is a part of national Cuban energy company "Union Electrica". "Union Electrica" is the client, - explains Project chief manager from Cuba Eder Pacheco. - Contractor for construction works is Russian company "Inter RAO - Export", it will organize the procedure of choosing local manufacturers. No doubts your company can become our supplier of road-construction equipment under the project. Regarding the fact that CHTZ has already established good relations with Cuba, we have good chances for our future cooperation.
Guests underlined that practically and technologically CHTZ machines are exactly what they were looking for.
General Director of CHTZ Vyacheslav Yumatov thanked guests for their visit while noting that CHTZ has long history of cooperation with Liberty Island. Last serious shipment of CHTZ machines to the Republic took place 4 years ago, and nowadays there are reasons to develop these connections. He also told guests about total modernization of metal processing facilities and new machinery re-equipment that is currently underway on the plant.
- In case Cuban energy sphere specialists and Russian contractor are interested with our machines, we are ready not only to deliver the shipment but also provide maintenance in Cuba, just like we did before - noted Vyacheslav Yumatov.
In response Cuban partners said that they would like CHTZ to help with training of certified operators of CHTZ machines in Cuba.
Representatives of Russian and Cuban energy companies examined tractor manufacturing facilities, high-precision machining facility and assembling facility. They watched new bulldozers get prepared for shipping.
- Even during our limited visit we managed to see technological capabilities of the company, new equipment that makes it possible to manufacture aggregates and parts of future tractors with high precision and quality, and in effect produce modern construction equipment, - Eder Pacheco points out. - We got a very good impression of your company and hope you will successfully pass all registration procedures to become the official equipment supplier for our project.
