/ High-rank Indian official thanks ChTZ for quality products
Issues related to deepening of cooperation were discussed between management of the Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant, representatives of the company "Rosoboronexport" and the first secretary of the technical military issues of the Indian Embassy in Moscow Surendra Dhapotkar.
The topic of the discussion was future development of partnership, shipments of high-power engine parts from ChTZ to India. ChTZ cooperates with these Indian partners for more than 15 years. Production of ChTZ engines started in 2001 in town Avadi after signing a license agreement.
Indian high-rank technical military representative visited ChTZ to negotiate and to get acquainted with capabilities of Russian partners. During his meeting with ChTZ Director General Vyacheslav Yumatov Indian guest noted that it was his first visit to ChTZ and he would like get to grips with the well-known Russian company that always ships products in time. The Indian guest showed his gratitude to all tractor-builders for their quality products, to which he has no complaints.
During their visit Surendra Dhapotkar and his colleagues were shown diesel engine production site and in particular precision machinery and assembling facilities, where working meeting took place. After that Indian guests went to ChTZ museum, where local guide described to them basic stages of ChTZ history. Mr. Dhapotkar related to the museum as outstanding. He was particularly impressed by the history of the plant and how it was built: the speed and the scale. He also liked the range of equipment that was produced at different times.
He found it interesting that in the sixties T-100 tractors from Chelyabinsk had already been working in India - they participated in the construction of a dam, while powerful bulldozers DET-250 helped build metallurgic plant, thus empowering the vital production sphere for India.
